How on earth do you pack suitcases for a three-month trip, taking us from 0 degrees at 4000m to the tropical temperatures of Indonesian beaches?!?
For sure there are bigger challenges in life, but we had our hard times! Here we are with 20 kg per person + 1 backpack each (I finally convinced Alessia that a backpack was more convenient than a Gucci trolley, and that six pairs of shoes were enough).
We still had our last minute adrenaline shot, having lost for 10 minutes the passports only one hour before the departure (you can probably guess who of us two was to blame for this minor incident).
Good-bye to the Belgian Family and off-we-go for our first long flight:
Zaventem – Madrid – Lima – Cusco… and yes, we were in Zaventem "just in time" 2h30 before taking off.
